Ajam (feat. Mehdi Boostani and Tannaz Zand) – Dare Vāz Kon (Open the Door)

This video has been compiled from several practice performances of a song recorded with guest vocals from two of Ajam’s good friends, Mehdi Boostani and Tannaz Zand, back in early 2015. The music, and Ajam’s new arrangement, is based around a regional folk song in the ‘Bakhtiari’ dialect from the foothills of the Zagros Mountains in the west of Iran. The song is a story of unrequited love and is based on a dialogue between a young man and woman who are standing either side of a door.
